We’re all only human, and having moments of fear or anxiousness is a part of the human experience. After all, fear is what helps to protect us from potential danger. But sometimes, what our beautiful but silly brains perceive as danger is merely discomfort. Be it a major lifestyle change we’re not familiar with, hurt feelings, or a blow to our ego. And we know that if we allow such fears to consume us, they will most certainly keep us small. So it goes without saying that these limiting fears are more than worth facing. Especially as it feels so empowering to push through our fears and limiting beliefs.
With that in mind, I know that it’s never easy to break out of your comfort zone and face your fears. Sometimes, we all need to hype ourselves up to take on something we find daunting or scary. I know that I personally need to affirm to myself that everything will work out in my favor when I’m anxious. And knowing that the way that we all speak to ourselves matters, and how powerful our words are, one of my favorite ways to empower myself through fear is by saying affirmations. Whether I say them out loud, whisper them to myself, say them in my head, or write them down. Or some combination of all of the above.
Honestly, sometimes all you need is to speak strength into your subconscious for courage to manifest within you. This isn’t even to mention how powerful speaking positively of your life can manifest a positive outcome. Sometimes, even a more positive outcome than you’re expecting. And even if I don’t initially get the results I’m hoping for, I’m already affirmed that things are aligned in my favor. So there’s nothing to fear.
How Affirmations Can Empower You Through Fear
Our words and beliefs hold so much power, and what we truly believe is what manifests in our reality. Which is why one thing that we all need to stop doing is speaking negatively about ourselves and our lives. Whether that be about the abundance that we know that we can have, even if our subconscious is still getting on board, or the amazing person that we are. And with that said, we can certainly speak bravery into our hearts and minds. Even if our voices shake as we speak our affirmations, we can repeat them over and over again, as they empower us. Until courage just comes naturally to us.
Affirmations are meant to cheer you on, even when you’re nervous. They remind you that you truly have nothing to be afraid of, because what’s meant to be will be. And even if things don’t work out this time, there’s something better in store for you. Affirmations empower you to go for it and give it your all. They remind you that you’re bigger than your fears. Because your best life and everything you desire is on the other side of the fears that are trying to keep you in your comfort zone. You just have to let your subconscious know that it’s safe for you to thrive and live your best life.
What Empowering Affirmations For Building Courage Can Look Like
- “I am safe” statements that affirm to our subconscious that it’s safe to grow beyond our comfort zone.
 - “I am strong” statements to remind us that we are bigger and stronger than our fears.
 - “I can” statements to affirm to ourselves that we’re capable of doing great but scary things.
 - “Everything will work out for me” statements to remind us that everything will fall into place for us, no matter what. Even if it won’t work out in our favor today.
 - “I am brave” statements to remind you that it’s okay to be scared, because bravery comes from overcoming your fears.

In reality, as long as they empower you, your affirmations can look and sound however you want. Whatever powerful words empower you and give you courage, say them, my lovely. You want your affirmations to resonate with you! Honestly, you can’t go wrong with affirmations that lift you up and give you the strength to face your fears.
A Few Things To Keep In Mind
Honestly, there aren’t any rules that you need to follow when curating and speaking your affirmations. Aside from the fact that they should empower you and make you feel good. But it’s also helpful to ensure that they truly resonate with you, and that they’re easy for you to say when you need them. You certainly don’t want to have to pull out your phone or journal every time you’re looking for an affirmation to manifest some courage within yourself. And you also want them to be relatively easy for your subconscious to get on board with. That way, your affirmations can better serve you.
- Keep them short and sweet, so they’re easy to remember and repeat.
 - Allow them to be believable and authentic enough to you that your subconscious can get on board with them. Of course, you’ll upgrade them later as your confidence builds!
 - Choose affirmations that relate to what you need courage for in this stage of your life.
 - Customize your affirmations as you please! Include the use of profanity if it resonates better and empowers you.
 - Keep your affirmations positive and empowering. Don’t you dare bring any self-criticism or doubt into your affirmations. This is about empowerment and building your confidence and courage.

I am an affirmation nerd and have them everywhere! Stuck up on the wall in my study, or sticky taped to my journal pages. “I am fearlessly blazing my own path” absolutely hit the spot for me today. I am kinda in that phase right now and so it’s an excellent reminder to keep pushing forward!
Some really great positive reminders. Especially if you’re not feeling so great! Thanks for sharing.
I love how it reframes fear as something to move through, not run from.
Love your list of powerful affirmations depending on the situation you find yourself in. I can totally relate!
